Aaron Gordon

Aaron is an actor/writer born and bred in Hackney, East London. He trained with the National Youth Theatre Rep Company and has gone on to work predominately in theatre with companies such as Ontroerend Goed, a Belgian theatre company. 

As a writer he’s also worked with companies such as The National Theatre and The Royal Court. At his core, is a passion for storytelling. He wishes to tell diverse stories with entertainment at its heart.

He’s worked intimately with The PappyShow from the very start. Working in a number of different capacities; performing, leading workshops and writing. He is absolutely honoured to continue this relationship as an associate.

Stella Odunlami

Stella Odunlami is a performance-maker and academic currently completing a practice as research PhD exploring the potential for an iterative performative memorial for which her most recent work is Oríkì Mi, a sonic memorial ritual. Other work includes: installation piece London Wall: 1980 something at the V&A. She was artist and co-curator for the multi-disciplinary exhibition Re-introducing Oshun at the Shonibare Studios and Lyric Hammersmith and A Seat at the Table at Gallery 198.

She was Associate Director on the acclaimed Barbershop Chronicles and toured the piece internationally. 

Other work as a director includes: Our England, staged readings for the Young Vic, Made Visible at The Yard; Dies Irae Hoxton Hall; Hidden at Ovalhouse; Preserves at Hen and Chickens; and Black Cab Music at the Lyric Hammersmith. She was Resident Assistant Director at the Gate. She performed in Exhibit B at the Midwinter Festival Tallinn, the Galway International Arts Festival and the Asian Arts Theatre Festival, Gwangju and in Sanctuary Theatre for the Maillon, Strasbourg and theTeatro Rivoli, Porto. She is year lead on the Acting and Performance programme at Wimbledon College of Arts, University Arts London. She is delighted to be working with The PappyShow on the development of Black Girl Magic.

Josie Daxter

Josie works in theatre and opera as a Director and Movement Director.

She has worked for English National Opera, The Royal Opera House, De Nederlandse Opera, Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, La Scala, Opera de Lyon, Stanislavski Theatre Moscow, Adelaide Festival and Theater Basel. 

She specialises in devised, physical theatre and puppetry and has collaborated with Complicité as a performer and facilitator since 2010. She has worked with The PappyShow since 2017 and will be directing GIRLS.

Lewis hetherington

Lewis is an award winning playwright, director and performance maker. His work is rooted in collaboration and storytelling. He is passionate about culture creating space for social change.

He has won two Fringe First Awards, the Arches Brick Award, and an Adelaide Fringe Award. He is one of the co directors of fieldwork performance.

His work has toured extensively throughout Scotland and the rest of the world including performances in Australia, Canada, China, Germany, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and the USA. 

He is delighted to be an Associate of The PappyShow as the work he has created with the company has shaped, developed and nurtured him as an artist.

Saul Valiunas

Saulius is a lighting designer from London who has worked with The PappyShow since 2018.

Having initially studied drama and theatre studies at the University of Kent with ideas of becoming an actor, he quickly found a passion for lighting design whilst working on various student projects.

After graduating, he moved to the US to cut his teeth on shows and in venues of varying sizes and scope.

He moved back to London in 2017 and has been there since. He splits his time between fringe theatre, contemporary dance to large-scale music festivals and gigs.

ursula mohan

Ursula began her acting career aged 15 at Wimbledon Theatre before winning a scholarship to train at Webber Douglas. She has been a working actress ever since. Highlights include: a female Lear in London; UK tour of Dad’s Army;  seasons for the RSC including Peter Brook’s US; Emilia in Othello at Regent’s Park; the title role in the Good Woman of  Setzuan at Hampstead Theatre.

TV and Film include: On the Buses, Doctors, Holby City Bank Job and Tell me Lies.  

Current theatre: tours of the solo play Florence Smith - Now and Then & GIRLS for The PappyShow 

Ursula has also taught acting in major drama schools including Mountview, ArtsEd and LAMDA.

Debora Minà

Debora Minà is an Italian theatre maker, performer and facilitator. Her work is concerned with social engagement, belonging, and how the creative process can contribute to the expansion of identity. She works in London and internationally for a number of organisations, in particular facilitating the creative expression of young people from refugee backgrounds and female survivors of trauma with Pan Intercultural Arts.

As co-director of Feedback Theatre she created work about human rights  and menstrual stigma. She is a visiting lecturer at Central School of Speech and Drama, Goldsmiths College and other UK universities. 

 

With the PappyShow she performed and contributed to the devising of Girls and Care, and facilitated workshops.

ROLY BOTHa

Roly is an actor, composer and sound designer. Credits for The PappyShow include creating the music and sound for BOYS, GIRLS, and CARE; sound for the podcast It’s A Practice!; and performing in CARE.

Other credits for sound and music include Helen (Battersea Arts Centre); Brother (Southwark Playhouse); WARHEADS (Park Theatre, Olivier Nomination); and Start (Theatre Peckham). Other performing credits include Ghost Stories (Lyric Hammersmith); Strangers In Between (King’s Head/Trafalgar Studios); and Eastenders (BBC).
